Why Should I Get C-Label Certification?

The C-Label compostable certification mark indicates third-party verification for consumers, end users, and composters that indicates whether a product or package is compostable.

Why Should I Get C-Label Certification?

C-Label Certification indicates an end-of-life opportunity for a compostable product. The compostable certification program guides manufacturers in designing products, understanding what ingredients they can use, and making an independent compostability claim that consumers and composters can trust.

C-Label Certification helps consumers identify and trust that a product is compostable and can be driven by food scraps where programs exist.

Composters can determine and be confident that certified produce mixed with food scraps and garden trimmings will deteriorate during regular composting and will not adversely affect compost quality.

The C-Label Certification process is rigorous and ensures that products can be safely returned to the soil in a commercial composting facility. This is done by testing to ASTM standards, with additional restrictions on carcinogens and fluorinated chemicals. Tests are carried out in approved laboratories that are fully independent and have the necessary accreditations. C-Label Certification certificate is presented to the products that pass the required tests successfully.

Our organization provides very different certification services for businesses in various sectors and carries out the necessary testing, analysis, control and evaluation activities within this framework. In these works, it always follows domestic and foreign standards, applicable legal regulations and generally accepted practices. In this framework, it also provides compost certification and C-Label (Compost Labeling) compost labeling services to businesses that request it.
